Quadriceps

Quadriceps femoris are a group of muscles at the front of the thigh. Quadricep muscles contain more mass than any other muscle group in your body. The main function of the quad muscles are to assist in straightening the knees. They also absorb impact when the heel hits the ground, contribute towards hip flexion, help maintain correct posture and balance, stabilize the kneecap, and regulate the way you walk.

The quadriceps are vulnerable to injuries because they handle strain from the hip and knees.
